Three "workout programs" at once? Why not? You can accomplish a lot in 30 days, when you put your mind to it. And as my little sister says, "Self-control is free." Doesn't mean it's easy by any means. But it's free, no gym membership or fancy equipment needed.
Pushup Challenge
Maddy and I went running today. I also had ice cream. I also spent several hours being a lazy bum. But then again, I also started a pushup challenge.
It was in those lazy bum moments that I came across a youtube video of a guy doing X number of pushups everyday for 25-30 days. I don't remember the specifics (because it was more than I could do) but it launched me into a challenge of my own. Pushups have always been one of those things that I wanted to improve. It's not uncommon for my family gatherings to involve push contests over Christmas break - we are weird. So starting today(yesterday) I'm doing 50 pushups a day for 25 days. And let me be clear, today I did 30 clap pushups ... on the bathroom counter. I did 20 standard pushups ... on my knees. I have to start somewhere. And this is where I am.
Day 2. I'm super sore. Both from my run and from the pushups. I have 40 down and 10 more to go. Here is to hoping I can stay faithful until they get easier.
